Cellaring Recommendations
One of the most frequently asked questions we hear at Williams Selyem is, “When should I drink this wine?”
While individual preferences vary as much as the wines themselves, we can offer some general guidelines. Most of the wines can certainly age longer than five years, so we recommend trusting your palate and forming your own guidelines—depending on whether you prefer a lively young wine or a more complex aged wine.
All Williams Selyem wines are ready to drink upon release, so it’s almost never ‘too early’ to drink. But it can be too late; so don’t be afraid to open that bottle!
“Keep appellation wines three years and vineyard designates five. It is a test of your moral fiber.”
