The newest single vineyard designate from the Russian River Valley. The aromas of ripe Bing cherries, roses, sassafras and espresso dominate the nose completely in this vintage. 14.0% alcohol
Challenging weather during the 2003 growing season resulted in lighter than normal berry development. However lower yields, coupled with moderate temperatures, allowed for even ripening with good sugar, pH and acidity. Although Mother Nature provided us with a less than bountiful harvest, we are very pleased with the resulting wines. The grapes for this wine were harvested at an average of 25.4 Brix in late October.
