Aromas of boysenberries, plums and cherry cola dominate in the nose. Concentrated flavors of berries and cola accentuate the ripe fat tannins in the mouth. The concentration of fruit and toasty oak compliment the long lingering finish on your mouth. 14.2% alcohol
Challenging weather during the 2003 growing season resulted in lighter than normal berry development. However lower yields, coupled with moderate temperatures, allowed for even ripening with good sugar, pH and acidity. Although Mother Nature provided us with a less than bountiful harvest, we are very pleased with the resulting wines. The grapes for this wine were harvested at an average of 25.4 Brix in late October.
