The wild berry, sweet herbs, wild flowers and mocha nose make this a classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Your mouth will explode with flavors of wild berries, cranberries, toasted nut bread, white pepper, cardamom and citrus rind. Rich tannins and acidity balance out the ripe wild berry flavors and fresh herbs. The long, lingering finish completes this wonderful experience. 14.1% alcohol
Challenging weather during the 2003 growing season resulted in lighter than normal berry development. However lower yields, coupled with moderate temperatures, allowed for even ripening with good sugar, pH and acidity. Although Mother Nature provided us with a less than bountiful harvest, we are very pleased with the resulting wines. The grapes for this wine were harvested at an average of 25.4 Brix in late October.
