Winemakers Notes
Notes of lavender, dried rose petals, and hibiscus are apparent upon first nosing. Upon further study, aromas of red fruits, plum, and fresh currant emerge. Hints of graphite or pencil lead add further depth and intrigue to the exciting aromatics. Situated in a cool microclimate in the southwest end of the Oakville district, the cool freshness of the wine is compelling. In the mouth, the wine coats the palate while the acidity keeps the wine lively and focused. Flavors of red fruit, cedar, and aged tobacco combine to offer a complex palate. Texturally alluring with refined tannins and terrific extraction, the wine finishes with a citrus and mineral sensation.
